Elizabeth Davis Born in Wichita Falls, TX began dancing at age four in Dallas, TX. She moved to the Houston area at age seven and continued her dance training. At age fifteen Elizabeth was accepted as an apprentice to the Houston Metropolitan Dance Company, or Met Too. When she graduated from high school in 2002 she auditioned to be a part of the prestigious Point Park College Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was one of the approximately one hundred and fifty (of over a thousand) accepted and spent her first year of college there. Elizabeth continued her college education at Sam Houston State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2006. While in college she was nominated for the 2005 Sam Houston State University Choreography Award and received the Sam Houston State University Choreography Award in 2006. Two of her pieces were nominated to represent Sam Houston State University in the American College Dance Festival, and one was sent to the American College Dance Festival in Oklahoma to represent the school in 2005. Elizabeth has had the opportunity to work with many world-renowned choreographers, all over the United States. Elizabeth continues her dance training by attending several dance conventions throughout the year to learn from the best choreographers and teachers in the US, and traveling to NY to take class. |
